Netsolace Further Distinguishes Itself by Earning a Microsoft Competency in Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/ Software Solutions
Hamden CT — July 01, 2008 — Netsolace today announced it has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program with a competency in the Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/ Software Solutions competency, recognizing Netsolace's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace. As a Gold Certified Partner, Netsolace has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and a proven ability to meet customers' needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the channel.
Netsolace offers web-based systems software for franchisors looking to bring efficiencies and lower operational costs while growing their business and bringing consistency to their brand. Its Socket Franchise Operating System offers a comprehensive solution to franchisors looking for ways to bind and manage all operations securely and easily through one application. When linked with its easy-to-use Qs Point-Of-Sale system, franchisors have all their critical sales data from their franchisees in hand virtually in real-time. Combined with Netsolace's other web-based products such as nXstep training tool and DM digital menu system, franchisors are assured of offering their franchisees a robust suite of products that will grow their business effectively.
"We are extremely pleased to have attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program. This allows us to clearly promote our expertise and relationship with Microsoft to our customers," said Asma Rauf, Vice President. "The benefits provided through our Gold Certified Partner status will allow us to continue to enhance the offerings that we provide for customers."
"Customers are looking for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities," said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. "They need to trust in a company that can act as an expert adviser for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, which have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft, can build a positive customer experience with our technologies. Today, Microsoft recognizes Netsolace as a new Gold Certified Partner for demonstrating its expertise in providing customer satisfaction using Microsoft products and technology."
As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, Netsolace had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each Competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry. Within select Competencies, there are Specializations that focus on specific solution areas that recognize deeper expertise within that Competency. Serving as a specialized path to earning those Competencies, Specializations give direct access to the tools and resources that support that specific area of focus.
The ISV/Software Solutions Competency recognizes the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packed software based on Microsoft technologies.
"Solutions competencies are an important way for Microsoft to better enable ISVs to meet customer needs," said Sanjay Parthasarathy, corporate vice president of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group at Microsoft Corp. "They allow ISVs to keep and win customers through their deep knowledge of solutions-based Microsoft platform technologies. Microsoft has a long history of working closely with ISV partners to help them deliver compelling solutions and applications to our mutual customers, and the Microsoft Competencies are an important step in continuing to enhance vital relationships with ISVs worldwide."
The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents Microsoft's ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners' businesses be successful.

Netsolace® Launches New Technology Packages
HAMDEN, Conn. – In an effort to streamline the process by which they deploy hardware systems to their fastest growing client, Netsolace, Inc. has created the Total Technology Startup Package. “Delivering hardware solutions to retailers is tricky, says Netsolace® IT Manager Chris Lieby, “you can’t be too early or the hardware is at risk for damage during store construction and you can’t be too late otherwise people are writing invoices by hand.” The new Total Tech Package allows Netsolace® clients to get everything they need, from the server down to the barcode scanner and receipt printer and have it all show up exactly when it’s needed and have it ready to plug-in and go. Netsolace®’s top client, Edible Arrangements®, keeps them very busy since it is one of the fastest growing franchises in the US currently with 700 stores open and more than 110 seeking locations. Netsolace® provides both the hardware and software by which all Edible Arrangements® stores operate, which is what makes the Total Tech Package so appealing to the franchisees. “They pay one price and we work closely with the coordinators to make sure the equipment arrives when it’s needed, configured correctly and ready to be installed. We even send someone to install it for them. From the franchisees perspective, it just works.” About the only option that Edible Arrangements franchisees need to consider after ordering the Total Tech Package is if they want the automated back-up as well. Netsolace® has established an alliance with Iron Mountain Storage based in Boston, MA to run off-site, online back-ups for their stores’ most critical data. With this new option and the Total Tech Package, Netsolace® clients can rest easier knowing their hardware and software deployment and back-up requirements are in experienced hands.

Netsolace® Point-of-Sale System Attains Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance
HAMDEN, Conn. – As a company who has technologically systematized the way retail businesses run, Netsolace, Inc. is proud to announce that the point-of-sale module for their Socket™ library is fully compliant with the Data Security Standard established by the Payment Card Industry. As the exclusive technology provider for the Edible Arrangements® franchise, millions of dollars each year are processed by the fast growing franchise company using the Netsolace® Point-of-Sale (POS) system called Store Management System.
“We take this compliance very seriously and will uphold this rating with all of our further development and with every new client” said Tariq Farid, President & CEO of Netsolace, Inc. The Payment Card Industry sets the standards by which all legitimate retailers and e-commerce websites should abide to protect the security and privacy of their consumers.
“The PCI compliance standard is voluntary for retailers and etailers, but the reality is that millions are being spent online by unknowing consumers whose information is not protected the way it should be” said Patrick Conley, the Vice President of Development for Netsolace®. From this point on Netsolace, Inc. must maintain the standard with audits and keep very precise logs that demonstrate they are meeting or exceeding the mandate set by the Payment Card Industry.

Netsolace® establishes an alliance with Gateway® Computers
HAMDEN, Conn. – As a leading provider of hardware and software systems for retailers and franchise companies, Netsolace, Inc. recently reported an alliance with Gateway Computers, based in Irvine, California. Every year, since their founding in 2001, the volume of hardware that Netsolace® purchases increases, giving it more buying power. These price savings are passed along to their clients. This is the first year that Netsolace® has struck an alliance with Gateway, Inc.
“Gateway really impressed us with the combination of their prices and dedicated support” said Chris Lieby, IT Manager for Netsolace®. One of the strategic goals for Netsolace® is to seek out hardware vendors that can provide four-hour service for the new hardware purchases made on behalf of their clients. While these demands are high, having failing technology in the retail arena is not an option.
“Ultimately, we are using business grade servers with our clients. Even though they may only be open retail hours, the truth is those machines are built to handle quite a bit more than what our clients currently use them for” said Lieby. As Netsolace, Inc. begins to seek out new franchise industry clients, their alliance with Gateway and other hardware vendors will be seen as a strategic advantage for the company since they have already negotiated a low price and high service requirements for all.
